Subject Awards
CRITERIA: Awarded to the student with the highest grade 12 marks.
A final minimum average of at least 80% in the given subject
area must have been achieved. $1,000.00TT awarded to each
subject award recipient.

Co-operative Education

A Grade 12 course taken as Cooperative Education |

Computer Science and Technology |
A Grade 12 university level course in computer Science or Technology |

A Grade 12 university level English |

Humanities |
The average of any two of the following university level courses: Challenge and Change, Food and Nutrition, Human Growth and Development and Individuals and Families In a Diverse Society. |

Mathematics |
The average of Advanced Functions plus one of the following university level mathematics course: Calculus and Vectors or Mathematics of Data Management |

Modern Languages - Spanish

TT $2,500.00 Presented by: Chosen by the secondary teachers and awarded to the individual who has made significant contributions to the MLIS community, with a willingness to place the good of others ahead of personal interests. TT $2,500.00 Presented by: Awarded to the student who has demonstrated the most commitment to MLIS and has been an active member of the MLIS Student Council for at least one year. TT$1,000.00 Presented by: Awarded to the student who has shown dedication and leadership in sports at MLIS both on and off the field throughout their high school career. TT$1,000.00 each Male & Female Presented by:
Awarded to the student with the highest average in all grade 11 & 12 courses Presented by: High Commission of Canada
Awarded to students with an average of 80% and over in 6 grade 12 courses *University and/or mixed **University, mixed, college, open and/or workplace The recipients PTA Citizenship Award, Student Council Award, and Sports Leadership Award shall be determined as follows: •· Staff put forth nominees •· All nominees names are circulated to all secondary staff (confidentially) •· At a staff meeting, the nominees are discussed and staff select the winners by majority vote |
