Library Policies
Operating Hours:
- The library is open from 7:00am - 3:00pm on all regular school days.
- Students may use the library for reading, research and studying at any time during the school day by themselves or with a class.
Use by classes:
- Junior Kindergarten to Grade 2 are transported by bus up from the Primary campus for their weekly scheduled library book exchange.
- Grades 3 to Grade 8 students have a weekly scheduled library book exchange. However, individual students may visit the library at any time to exchange books.
- Senior students may borrow books at any time that the library is open.
Book Loans:
- Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5 students may borrow one book at a time, with a loan period of one week.
- Grade 6 to Grade 8 may borrow up to two books at a time, with a loan period of two weeks.
- Grade 9 to Grade 12 students may borrow up to three books at a time, with a loan period of two weeks.
- All materials must be checked out before they leave the library.
- Books may be renewed for a further loan period if needed.
- Replacement costs are charged for lost or damaged books. Parents have an option of replacing the book or simply pay the charge for the book to be replaced.
Computer Use:
- The computers in the library are for the sole use of academic work and research.
- Students must first sign an annual Computer Use Agreement.
