Maple Leaf International SchoolLibrary ServicesOur school library has expanded over the years to keep pace with the demands of a vibrant curriculum and an increasing student body. The library is funded by the school with the support of the MLIS Parent-Teacher Association. Although the library is run by Gisèle Hobday and Gena Mohammed, Maple Leaf receives assistance and guidance from Rose Dotten, Professor at OISE/University of Toronto, School Librarianship Department. A school library not only provides an environment for students to explore their world through reading and to develop a deep love of reading, becoming literate members of society, but as importantly, it provides the resources and skills students need through information studies and technology that enable them to learn through inquiry and research, ensuring they are information literate as well.
